Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I had a great time with my family.
Today I just wanted to share a few thoughts on a Bible verse.
1 Samuel 12:24
I first heard this verse in 2014 during a missions conference at my church. One of the missionaries taught from 1 Samuel and briefly mentioned this verse during his message. I barely noticed the verse at first but later that night, a lady from church reminded me of that verse.
I had been struggling that year with some things that had happened. I sometimes spoke to this lady about my struggle and she often sent me verses of encouragement.
The verse reads: "Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider how great things He hath done for you."
My struggle wasn't a huge struggle, but it was something that often got me down in the dumps about life. This verse is an encouragement that no matter what is going on, just keep serving God with all your heart. He has done great things for us and will continue to do so. God knows our futures and if we stay yielded to Him, He will guide and direct our paths. This is especially dear to me right now as I'm in my senior year. God has a plan for me—for all of us—and He will make it known to us at the appointed time as long as we keep walking with Him.
Thank you for sharing this, Lauren! It was very encouraging for to read :)

DeleteThat's an encouraging verse and not one I remember hearing before (though I know I have). Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a verse that is easily overlooked sometimes. Thanks for reading and commenting!
